BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA An overview of Scouting

CUB SCOUTS

Tiger Cubs are for boys in the first grade (or 7-years old). They work with an adult
partner to have fun and discover new things. Tigers meetings are set by the parents and have a Tiger Cub Den Leader to help guide the program.

Cub Scouts are for boys in the first through fifth grades (ages 6 to 10). It's a family and home centered program. They do fun things with other kids in Den Meetings! They wear cool uniforms, go places and see things. They play all kinds of sports and build things. They can learn about Native Americans, conservation, and learn to help to other people.

When a Cub Scout reaches the 4th and 5th grade, he becomes a WEBELOS                (WE'll BE LOyal Scouts) Scout. During this two-year program the Cub Scout earns Activity badges in areas similar to Boy Scout Merit Badges. They work with Activity  Badge Counselors and their Den Leaders, this provides a bridge to becoming Boy Scouts.
